About 25 years ago our team at Sister Lakes Cable ventured in to the world of data broadband or what we know as cable internet or DOCIS for my fellow tech people. A quick look back to those days of dial up internet access, AOL, MySpace, Napster and a whole new world of connectivity and information at our finger tips.
Today we look at the world as a world of instant data, remote jobs, streaming services and the continuing growth and ever expanding amounts of data at our disposal.
We have not sat back and idlily watched this growth take place, we have embraced it and grown with the times. We were the first to deploy cable broadband those many years ago and we were the first to bring fiber to the home. We have strived to maintain that small town one on one customer experience while bring cutting edge services to each and every home in our service area.
Our Fiber Network is available to all our serviceable addresses within our foot print. With that statement it brings a closing to a chapter for us as well. We will be converting the last of our cable broadband customers over to fiber before the close of the year.
It is our intent to begin the process of turning off the cable broadband network as we get the last few remaining homes in areas switched over. Our overall plans is to have this completed on or before December First 2026.
Our Staff will be reaching out to the few remaining homes via phone, text and email. In person notifications will be done as streets are scheduled to be turned off for those who have not gotten the free upgrade.
Any future or current customer who needs to have fiber installed is encouraged to call us 269-424-5737 to schedule for the free upgrade.
Sincerely
Sister Lakes Cable
